The Academy of Hotel Management and Catering Industry is the oldest school of its kind in Poland. It was established by the Ministry of National Education in 1993. Its founder was Dr. Roman Dawid Tauber, a WSHiG professor.
International character
WSHiG’s international character is also reflected in the internships organized by the Academy in the best hotel chains all over the world. The curriculum is adapted to the current requirements of employers so that graduates of the Academy of Hotel Management and Catering Industry possess as many practical skills as possible. Since 1999, under the Socrates programme, and now the Erasmus+ programme, students have had the opportunity to go on attractive work placements in Spain, France, Greece, Luxembourg, Italy, England and Ireland.
Modern teaching facilities
In 1995, the purchase of the building at 19 Nieszawska Street allowed the Academy to expand and create an excellent didactic base equipped with modern scientific rooms and gastronomic workshops. Since 2003 WSHiG periodically organizes the International Scientific Conference, in which participants are specialists operating in the hotel and gastronomy industry.
