Budapest Business School (BBS/BBU)

The Budapest University of Economics and Business has a 160-year history. Its unique history – its immediate predecessor BGF was established in 2000 by the integration of 3 successful higher education institutions and has been operating as a university since 2016 – has seen many graduates from a wide range of economic disciplines come out of its walls. 

We are proud of the fact that the graduates of BUEB and its predecessor institutions are among the most respected and sought-after professionals in the Hungarian labour market, many of them leading figures in Hungarian society and economy.  

It is important for us that our graduates remain members of our community, with whom we maintain professional and human relations. Our aim is to provide an opportunity and a community space for our former students to keep in touch and to engage in lifelong learning.

Gyula Lengyel Hall of Residence of Budapest University of Economics and Business is located in the XI. district at the foot of Sas-hegy, in a quiet and peaceful area. The institution is home to 234 students. The dormitory is run by the Head of the Hall of Residence, in close cooperation with a committee consisting of students. The members of the committee are elected annually by the Residents’ Assembly. 

There are twenty rooms on each floor on four floors. On floors 3-4, the sanitary facilities and kitchens are located in the hallway. Each room accommodates three to four students. On floors 1-2, the sanitary facilities are in the rooms, which can accommodate up to 2 students per room. All rooms have internet connection and Wi-Fi coverage. 

The surgery is located on the first floor. Medical service is available to students once a week. 

We place great emphasis on ensuring that students living in the hall of residence use the sports opportunities as widely and consciously as possible, so they have access to a gym, fitness room, and the sports yard. We also enrich the everyday lives of our students with a number of tradition-creating programs – such as the Fresher’s Welcome, the Culture Night, the Carnival Ball, or the Sports Day – which are all very popular.
