Liepaja University, founded in 1954, is an accredited state higher educational establishment, which implements study programmes at all three study levels: basic studies, Master and Doctorate studies. The number of students is around 2000 divided over around 30 study directions. Liepaja University offers eleven full degree study programs taught in English:

To provide students with opportunities for personal development and the cultivation of their artistic talents, the RTU Culture Centre offers various avenues for different creative pursuits. Students are welcome to join any of the interest clubs hosted by the centre and take part in a variety of significant and exciting events. Whether your passion is singing, dancing, playing in a band, or being part of a student theatre, there is a thrilling journey of new experiences, friendships, and personal development awaiting you. Choose one of the ten interest clubs and immerse yourself in the local culture!
At RTU sports activities are compulsory for all first-year students, and each student can select the most attractive activity from a wide range of sports: swimming, boxing, track and field athletics, movement therapy, wrestling, artistic gymnastics, aerobics, basketball, volleyball or indoor football.
The RTU Robotics Club unites robot building enthusiasts. The club’s goal is to generate interest about robots and the associated industries, such as electronics, mechanics and programming, as well as to further the robotics movement in Latvia, to train new robot builders and to build world class robots.
The annual Latvian Robotics Championships is organized by RTU Robotics Club, where robot building enthusiasts from Latvia and other countries compete in multiple disciplines. The best robots and their builders go on to participate in international competitions in Europe, America and Japan.
The dormitory is located at 36/48 Ganību Street and is managed by O.A.G.Projekti Ltd. Rental agreements will be established with the mentioned company O.A.G.Projekti Ltd.
