About the University:
Turandot is a composite image of the women from the ancient land of Turan, characterized not only by their intellect but also by many other traits and qualities that make this image quite appealing: from the brave and strong warrior, ready at any moment to defend her land, to the moon-like, calm, and nurturing wife, mother, and keeper of the hearth.
Why does TURANdot inspire us?
We strive for the truth through a challenging journey, exploring history, primary sources, traditions, and legends, separating facts from artistic fiction.
In contemporary interpretations, the image of Turandot presents a new paradigm of meanings that resonate with our university’s mission: “Culture, education, and science for the benefit of society.”
Today, TURANdot represents a part of global history and space for us: a meeting point of cultures, science, creative industries, and communications in the digital world.
Available Faculties:
The university has over 700 personal computers. The internal system is supported by a powerful server. Turan University became the first university in the Republic of Kazakhstan to join the Eduroam project, which allows students and university staff to use free Wi-Fi in almost any university in 54 countries of the world under their corporate login.
The university also opened the Apple Digital Lab. Within the framework of the project, children and youth have access to educational programs developed by Apple – Everyone Can Code (Everyone can program) and Everyone Can Create (Everyone can create). Among other things, the digital laboratory is focused on the formation of a faculty who can work in a digital environment, as well as form and transfer knowledge in today’s digital realities.
Also, guests of the Turan University from foreign universities during their visit to Almaty will be able to connect to wireless Internet access free of charge.
Turan University students lead an active academic, social, creative, sports life, where the initiators and engines of creative ideas are the students themselves. The University creates favorable conditions for the professional development of students, the disclosure of their creative, entrepreneurial potential, and promotes the establishment of ties between youth public associations both within Kazakhstan and abroad.
Places in the DS are allocated to those in need of housing – persons who came from remote areas and regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan to foreign citizens (does not apply to holders of internal University grants for the full term of study).
